This thread discusses the Content article: Eastern Conference - Atlantic Edition

Hey Kylie,
You're right, there is a balance issue in the East. You have the feel good story of the Celtics franchise contrasted with the perfect storm situation that seemingly never ends in NY.
Two notes, Pierce certainly isn't a newcomer in Boston and one other item about the Raptors....the emergence of Jamario Moon. This guy is fun to watch.

Interesting take on the Atlantic division. I would have to say that the 76ers are MUCH better than the Knicks and that the Nets main problem is the absense of Vince Carter. Also, you said the Celtics "three newcomers, Kevin, Ray, and Paul"...Paul Pierce is not new. He's been a Celtic his entire career. You're not the first writer who I've heard say that. I think since the Celtics have an entirely new look people forget that Pierce has always been there.

Also, as yall may have guessed because I have them at Number 1 on my Power Rankings, I think the Celtics are definite contenders. Not playoff contenders but, CHAMPIONSHIP contenders. These guys are legit. Garnett is playing like a man possessed. Like he's been stuck on a crappy team for over a decade and finally has some good talent around him...wait, that's exactly what happened. Go figure.
