O - Done ! 2007/09/14 00:51 Karma: 0
Greg Oden....can't say he didn't make a splash in his first year. So, what do you suppose the financial impact of this is? Not to be so ROI oriented, but somebody in some marketing boardroom is saying 'what the @#%!'.
Think of all the Oden orphaed jerseys and shoes laying wait on the cargo ships.....oh the humanity!

Yeah, tough break. Oden's being hit from all sides. First the loss of your NBA inauguration, then the fact that you gotta go under the knife. Sux

Although this is a serious setback. Oden seems like he has the heart and determination to overcome this unfortunate roadblock. Hopefully, his operation and rehab are successful because his presence is a big positive for the NBA. Oden and Durant made a great duo and a very interesting dynamic in the resurgence of the NBA. For this year, let's pray that some of the other young talent, i.e. Yi, Green, Horford, Wright, Thorton, Conley, etc., can fill the void.

Can Oden revive a championship in Portland, or will he become a second Sam Bowie? The Blazers wish to re-establish the smell of roses and not the all too familiar deja vu of gloom and doom.

The injury won't hold back this phenom for very long
